Housing Meet Up: Workforce Housing

Please Join the Shandaken Housing Smart Task Force for our next housing meet up tonight here at Shandaken Inn.

At the Workforce Housing MeetUp, employers, workers, landlords, homeowners, renters, and municipal officials will come together to discuss housing that’s affordable in our Catskill community.

This is a networking event about how workforce housing impacts the local economy, local volunteerism, and the future resiliency of our towns. Share stories, learn strategies, and develop connections to help with this important issue.

Ideas to share in advance of the meeting:

– experience helping employees secure housing,
– challenges employers have had in finding workers due to lack of housing,
– hardships recruiting volunteers, or
– interesting solutions employers want to see the town explore to create more housing, to name a few.
